Curtal™ is one of Portal Glazing Systems own roof glazing systems. It is a bespoke system constructed from aluminium profiles forming a grid of mullions and transoms. Transoms interlock into mullions using preformed silicone rubber gaskets. Glass is retained by pressure plates with cosmetic snap on covers. The system is thermally isolated, drained and ventilated.

Siltal™
Siltal™ is another of Portal Glazing Systems own systems. The structure is identical to Curtal™ above however the glass is secured with a specially designed edge detail which gives a flush external surface. This system is excellent for use on roofs with very shallow slopes.

Pilkington Planar
Portal Glazing Systems are one of the country’s leading designer/installers of Pilkington Planar. The bolted glass system provides a complete glass envelope for building structures without the use of conventional frames or mullions. Support structures can be conventionally load carrying, vertically or horizontally or they can act in suspension. The single, double glazed or laminated glass panels are fastened back to building structures by the use of highly engineered and tested fittings (902 and 905) that are countersunk into the glass to allow a flush exterior surface.
Internal glazed atrium walling is an area with which Portal are well experienced. They have systems and techniques to ensure the design team’s concepts can be brought to a practical and cost effective reality.
Support Steelwork
Support steelwork is an integral part of the Portal work package. The integration of the support steelwork with the glazing system is of prime importance to the success of the works. Portal will design the steelwork to provide the strength and aesthetics demanded by today’s design team.
Cleaning Access Equipment
The total package concept extends to major interface works such as the cleaning access equipment. A single source responsibility removes many of the interface and co-ordination problems associated with the integration of specialised elements.
Specialised Glazing
Portal Glazing Systems are not a main stream mass production window or curtain wall supplier however the expertise gained in dealing with complicated roof structures can be used where the system made products are unsuitable or incapable of performing. Portal Glazing Systems will design specific glazing solutions to overcome problem or demanding design concepts.
